As a catalyst for action, SPARC focuses on collaborating with other stakeholders—including authors, publishers, libraries, students, funders, policymakers and the public—to build on the opportunities created by the Internet, promoting changes to both infrastructure and culture needed to make open the default for research and education." SPARC is a leading advocate for both OER and Open Access.

The Open Washington website was created as an open educational resources network for Washington State Community and Technical College (WA CTC) faculty. Sections include Learn OER, Find OER, and OER Stories.

The BCcampus OpenEd site is primarily focused on open textbooks--helping faculty find them, adopt them, and adapt them. This project started because of government support and involvement.

This guide from the University of Oklahoma Libraries, in addition to having great information about OER in general, also has links to subject/discipline-specific OER resources. It also has a longer list of open textbook collections.

This section on the OER guide from the University of Maryland Libraries includes links to sites which help faculty create and adapt OER content (rather than just using what others have made).
