Library Online Catalog Tutorial

To find print books, ebooks, DVDs, video games, and board games available from the Central Penn College Library, search the Online Library Catalog.

You can see the home page of the online catalog below.  For a basic search, enter your search term in the search box, then click the search button (magnifying glass) to the right of the search box or hit Enter.

In the main middle section of the Search Results window, you can see which items the library has that match your search.  The left side of the window, under "Refine your search," contains different options for limiting (reducing) your search results.

In the example shown below, the first item is a print book (it is Available for loan and has a Call number), and the next two items are ebooks.  For the ebooks, there is a "Click here for access" button that links directly to the ebook.

If you click on the title of one of the books, that will take you to another screen with more detailed information about the book.  Since this is an ebook, there is another "Click here for access" button that links directly to the ebook.
