The Associate in Science (AS) Accounting program requires 21 credits of general education and elective coursework, in addition to 39 credits of core courses, totaling 60 credits. As part of the general education requirements, students must choose to take either PSY100 Psychology or SOC100 Sociology to fulfill the scientific reasoning requirement, and BUS130 Macroeconomics to fulfill the Global Citizenship requirement.
The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting requires 42 credits of general education (27 credits of foundation courses + 12 credits from declared intersection + 3 credits of experiential learning) in addition to 60 credits of core coursework and 18 credits of elective classes totaling 120 credits. As part of the general education requirements, students must choose to take either PSY100 Psychology or SOC100 Sociology to fulfill the scientific reasoning requirement, and BUS130 Macroeconomics to fulfill the Global Citizenship requirement. Elective courses cannot fulfill any other course requirement and should be in classes labeled ACC, BUS, COM, CRI, HSM, LGS, or TEC. Declaring a minor in something other than Accounting can also fulfill the elective requirement.
Both degrees require completing either Internship or Capstone.
