DO NOT INSTALL OFFICE ON CENTRAL PENN COMPUTERS. It is already installed and re-installing will cause problems. If you are unsure of how to access Office on a Central Penn College device please contact the IT department.
You can install Office 2016 on to up to five of your personal devices. This is not the same as the cloud-based applications in Office 365 or the OneDrive, which do not require software installation and have only the basic features. This is very helpful if you do not already have Microsoft Office 2016 on your computer or laptop. If you are using a computer in one of the Central Penn computer labs you do not need to re-install Office, it is already installed on all Central Penn computers.
To install you will need to log into Office 365 (instructions on logging in are below). In OneDrive, click on the settings icon. Toward the bottom, under 'Your app settings', click Office 365.
On the next screen select 'Install status' from the left side menu. Then 'install desktop applications'. Below this you will see how many times you have already installed Office. If this number is anything but 0, double check that you are not re-installing it on the same device. This will cause errors. If you want to continue with the installation, click 'install desktop applications'.
You will now see the link to install the Office apps. Once you click 'Install' follow the download instructions (Save, Run, give permission for Office to access your computer....)
For staff and faculty the Install Office 2016 button located to the upper right of your screen
