This guide provides information and advice for college students about common obstacles they face such as time management, procrastination, and early morning classes.

 

Objective tests are tests where there is one correct answer to a question.  These tests are often looking for knowledge, recognition, identification, recall, and application of terms.  Because these are testing basic skills, they are often a core component to 100- and 200-level courses.

 

Objective tests often use the following question types:

 

Students sometimes see objective testing as "easy" tests and may fail to properly prepare.  While these tests are engaging with basic skills and information, in college, professors often use objective tests to assess not only recall and identification, but also application of the information. This means that students will have to engage with multiple layers and sources of information to determine the correct answer.
