Learn how to request articles and books that Central Penn does not own

Full-Text Article Requests - EBSCO

Many articles in EBSCO are available right away:

However, if you find a citation to an article in EBSCO that is not available in full text (no PDF icon), we can request the article from another library.

On the page that lists the article information, click on the Email icon in the Tools menu (right side of the screen, as shown below).

A box will appear.  In the "Email from" field, delete what is there (support@ebsco.com) and enter your school email address [student.name@mymail.centralpenn.edu].  In the "Email to" field, enter library@centralpenn.edu.  Click the Send button.

(You must change the email address in the "Email from" field so we know who the request is from.)

The process is not immediate, but articles are usually provided within 2-3 business days.

You will receive an email either with instructions for how to access the article (a URL to visit and a password) or with a PDF of the article attached.
