CTE Mission

The mission of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is to promote and support professional development and teaching excellence at Central Penn College. The CTE provides opportunities and resources to advance the development of our faculty as engaging educators and scholars of teaching and learning in addition to supporting professional development initiatives for all college employees.

CTE Objectives

• Promote effective pedagogy by delivering accessible training and development opportunities on teaching-relevant topics in multiple formats and modalities throughout the year.
• Provide access to up-to-date instructional technology in the Center for Teaching Excellence.
• Contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning by maintaining public resources and submitting original scholarly works to refereed teaching and learning conferences and publications.

The LMS Administrator provides training and support for Central Penn College faculty and staff who use Blackboard and its integrated technologies.

Faculty and staff are welcome to drop-in and meet with Kim in person to ask questions about Blackboard, integrated technology, and other featured topics.
