When embedding material in a course, you always need to be sure to consider copyright concerns. ANY library resources can be embedded without worrying about copyright, because these are resources the college has already paid to use.

Most of the time a URL copied from the address bar of your browser will not work to retrieve the item you are trying to access. To save links to resources copy the links from the tools below and paste into a doc, then save the doc as a pdf file [Word does something to links that conflict with authentication methods, so opening a link from a doc will result in a Blackboard error screen].
Credo - use Page Link located at the top right of the page
Ebook Central - To share a link to the entire Book
or to go to a particular page of the book, go to the page where you would like people to start reading and click the link icon at the top
Ebsco - select permalink from the tools menu located on the right side of the screen, and copy the link from the box that opens up
Gale/Opposing Viewpoints - Use 'Get Link'
Kanopy - Click Share, underneath the video screen and then copy the 'Share link'
Find the video you would like to use in Films on Demand. Click the Share icon.
From the box that pops up. Select the Embed/Link option and copy the Record URL
In Blackboard go where you would like to embed the video. Click Build Content - Create item. Enter the name you would like to use to indicate the activity. Enter your text in the box. Click the Insert/Edit link in the toolbar. In the box that pops up Paste the Record URL you copied from Films on Demand and make sure to select top Open link in New Window. Save. Change other Blackboard options and click Submit.
