Active reading means reading with a purpose, focus and organization by taking notes and reflecting on the process.  In college, you will be expected to use all of the strategies of active reading in your coursework, homework, and reading assignments.  By engaging in active reading, you will be able to thorough understand the information you are presented with and present it with the knowledge and confidence of an expert.
