Research Exhibition Guide: Handouts

Find everything you need to prepare and succeed.


Handouts are a encouraged for students participating in the on-ground poster session presentation.

  • If you would like your handouts to be printed out in COLOR email them by 5pm, June 1st to
  • If you are using black-and-white handouts, print out 10 copies and bring them with you to the poster session.

Note: If you are submitting a VoiceThread instead of a poster, you DO NOT have to provide a handout. You won't need anything printed.

Suggested Handout Setup

1. Your handouts should be a letter size sheet (8.5" x 11")

2. The front of your handout should sum up your research. Include:

  • a hook - something to grab the audience
  • your research question
  • a brief summary of your research process
  • your conclusions

3. The back of your handout should list all of your references in an appropriate citation style (APA, BlueBook, Chicago).
